The challenge

Overview.

A major stakeholder in the Infrastructure industry wanted to explore Last Mile Deliveries and create a venture that optimizes this service.
Our starting point:
There´s a high quantity of short trips being made, at the expense of efficiency
Nowadays, free shipping is just a perverse marketing tool
Convenience comes first, environmental impact is still a secondary thought
The industry has high labor costs, slow technology adoption and scarce collaboration between players
Our end goal:
Provide an integral logistics solution to create better cities with the power of data.

We decided to start an urban fulfilment business in Madrid with a strong value proposition to differentiate it from competitors.

OUR process

Discovery - 2 Validation Loops.

Validating business concepts before launching ventures is key when implementing our venture building methodology.

During this project, we deep dived into the industry, testes demand, gathered solid data behind our analysis, and determined how we could go the extra (and last) mile by conducting pilots. We then chose between two different concepts before carrying out two validation loops.

We studied the industry to identify the key territories and problems to solve within them, and analysed all stakeholders. We obtained 4 key insights to guide our creative journey.

Problem Discovery

We defined territories of action, learning goals, and tools. This resulted in 3 main problems to solve, so we set out on safaris and interviews to experts and clients.

Solution Discovery

We organised co-creating sessions and tested ideas in the field. Then, we determined the goals the venture had to meet and produced two concepts: Urban Hubs and Curbside Management.

A new venture in Last Mile logistics.

Warp operates a network of urban warehouses to bring e-commerce inventory closer to final customers. Warp offers end-to-end fulfilment solutions that unlock same-day delivery to e-commerce shops. Our customers can externalise 100% of their logistics with us: their stock is stored inside our urban warehouses and when an order is placed, we deliver it to the end customer.

Sellers can give customers quick, affordable delivery experiences, including same-day delivery due to our worldwide delivery network, multimodal fleets, dynamic pricing, and UX features, including live tracking and direct communication.
